AB 2.2c freezing when loading game system

I have never had this program work. I know it does, because my friend
can use it on his computer... I exceed the system requirements, and I
am using the newest version of both AB and the game system data (40k
3.9 or so just came out today!)

I think I must be missing something... Help!

delete all of the 40k files from your armybuilder/data folder and then
re-import the datafiles.

It does take an extraordinarily long time to load the 40k files on my
computer (PII 333) - if I didn't know better I might think the thing
was frozen... How long have you waited before deciding it was frozen?

I run a p2(?)-500 and it does take the 40k files to load alittle longer than
it does the rest as it contains so much more data. Expect it, you computer
hasn't frozen. It's just that with your cpu speed and the amount of data
involved it takes a little longer to load.
