I believe that rule was for an Emporer's Children army specifically,
not Chaos cult terminators in general.

I would need to double check the references though.

Richard,

You are correct about the emperors children but this actually predates this
to white dwarf # 230 Pg # 79 article is called the road of sculls. And also
exists on the website under the chaos area.

That was changed in WD234, if I recall, to only allow 1 Blastmaster. Of
course, they haven't changed the article on the net. :/

Colin,

Can you find the article because I have looked thru all of the white dwarfs
after issue #230 and do not see anything about a 1 Blastmaster limitation
for cult terminators.

White Dwarf 234, page something or other, Chapter Approved section. It's
in the article "Putting the Tzap into Tzeentch", in the last few
paragraphs IIRC.

WD 234 "Putting the Tzap Into Tzeentch"
7. There have also been a few questions asked about the Cult
Terminator rules that appeared in White Dwarf 230. Those of you that
are using them should note that the idea is simply that the model
uses the character upgrades from its normal entry in the list, and
uses the characteristics (with the adjustments given in WD230),
equipment and equipment upgrades from the Terminator entry. Noise
Marine Terminators can swap a combi-bolter for a sonic blaster, and
the one that can have a heavy weapon may choose to take a blastmaster
instead of the standard choices (this is a change to the original
entry in WD230).

Keith,

Maybe I'm reading this wrong put by the "Character Upgrades from its normal
entry in the list" does that not mean the standard Noise Marines. I viewed
it as that but I may be wrong. And if that is the case you can give normal
Noise Marines up to three blastmasters. Or am I reading it wrong?

Sorry, I should have included this note, from the GW Online FAQ:

"Do Noise Marine Terminators get to mix weapons from Noise Marines
and their own? For example, can I take 2 bolter bolters, 1 bolter-
melta, 1 sonic blaster, 1 heavy flamer, & 3 blastmasters?"

"No. They should substitute for the appropriate type of Terminator
weapon."

I gather this to mean that you use the Slaaneshi Terminator weapon
entries (from WD 234, not 230) and ignore the Noise Marine weapon
entries.

Kieth

Doesn't that make it kind of useless to take noise marine terminators you
might as well go with normal terminators for the point difference. I am
still confused.

Noise Marine Terminators, as Cult Marines of Slaanesh
get 3, count 'em 3 attacks. With power weapons or
power fists. Pretty darn good in my book. Well worth
46 points.

Don't forget that your Terminators also become Fearless: a
considerable bonus, doubly so when you consider that your squad
sizes will probably be quite small.
