This isn't about the community files. That's all done by volunteers (to whom I am very grateful) who have day jobs. This is about paid content.
I have created two Kusa characters, and I've noticed that when I add Fast Movement as a Jutsu ability, I get an error. I've disabled all custom content, including the community pack, and I still get the error, and it doesn't modify my movement rate. I had to do that as a manual adjustment.
When I add a Katana as one of my weapon selections (a first-level class ability), I'm told that if I want to use it one-handed, I have to take take the exotic weapon proficiency feat. OK, fine. But when I add a katana on the weapons tab, even when I apply both hands to it, I still have that little, slashed circle indicating I'm not proficient with it. It doesn't look like it's applying any penalties, but still. If you're selling your work, you should make a better effort.
I'm told that I need to contact the 3PP to report these issues, because they're the authors of the data files, and they need to correct these issues.
On the one hand, I understand that, but LWD should also be aware that, by virtue of selling these products on their site, they are representing and collecting money for people who are doing shoddy work.
