1st file Question (Greyout Source)

You mean, like how we show the APG, but if you haven't purchased a license for it it is disabled and unable to be turned on?

I don't know if that is something that can be done, but I will ask Colen about it tomorrow.

Well, if they do have the data set, it should be selectable. Just like Aaron said. I think "no" just leaves it grey-out regardless.

Hmm, I did a few tests. Thought if they didn't have the source it would be greyed out but I was wrong.

Generally I only use 1st files for Parent sources, but any book I attach to a thing in the user file.

The only way to accomplish this would be to create one Parent element in one .1st file and then each child element in separate .1st file.

Then your "main" .hl file loads all the children elements as selectable="no". Then when they actually load that books .hl file you would need to have the same .1st file with selectable="yes".

Two issues:
1) Updates would be an issue if they loaded the child .hl then the parent .hl.
2) This won't work on the iPad as you could only have the child file in one of the .hl files or you would get duplicate source errors.

Thats just off the top of my head.

Well, it's not a big deal, but I think with the issues Shadow pointed out, it might just be safer just not to try. Thanks anyways yall!
