1001 issues

Having a problem, haven't seen where anybody else is. Came after last update.

error reads RitePublishing_Sources_101Spells.1st Source Duplicate record encountered (line 4)

Any ideas how to fix.

I tried removing just the source file, but that seems to create other issues.

So seeing that I got my 1001 spells from somone who got them with there book I should just delete and purchase the package is that what's going on?

Other wise neither one of those is the same.

So you stole the 1001 package. Thats really nice and you come on here and say it like its not wrong. WOW!!!

My advice is go pay for it.....

At the time I thought it was apart of the community download. And up until I read your link I had no idea that it came with the book. A fine treatment here of a avid customer, seeking advice. Learned my lesson.

If your wondering what I have purchase. To date I have three gaming systems I own 18 packages from Pathfinder alone, and have expanded these over my network. Thank you for the accusations.

I had originally had it as a free download from the book (which I DID buy). At first I was kind of annoyed when they switched to wanting us to pay for it, but then I realized that it was at first given freely; nowhere did they say that I was entitled to it.

It is worth buying, so I also bought it through HL. It is my opinion that every publisher should start doing it this way (go through HL as a data package). It makes it the only official version, and being official it helps it not collide with other HL updates.

For those that complain about paying for multiple versions of the same data (pdf, print, and data package), while in theory you COULD claim that a discount is valid (which is a good point regarding pdf+print bundle), this is not really the case for HL data. It is not as simple as merely copy-pasting the data. It takes more time (however, being able to copy-paste from the PDF is a tremendous help). In short, you are paying for someone to do the HL work for you.

If you where not aware of it coming from a paid book then I apologize for jumping the gun. I will admit I take offense for all the sharing of PDF files and stuff in the gaming industry as except for Paizo and WotC they are very small companies. My bad for the tone and jumping to a conclusion....

Also please note I do NOT work for Lone Wolf in any capacity at all. So what I say "is my opinion only and NOT the opinion of Lone Wolf or its employees". Its my word as nothing more than another customer and user of the Hero Lab software. I have been around along time here in the forums but everything I do is 100% free including my opinion. So always feel free to take it or leave it as you like. :)

It's all good Shadow. You do some amazing stuff here by the way. Hero Lab makes an awesome product, too. Totally sepperatly ;). I would never intentually steal from them. But what I did was steal, so I went and gave a verbal tongue lashing to the guy who gave me the file.

I would like to see more books that come with HL packages too. I am sure that HL and who ever could work out a deal. Trouble is the price point on the book might go up. In the end it would only be a matter of conveince for the consumer. IF they had HL, not so much if they didn't. So seeing that its only a click of the button away its fair to say that the status quo is great.
