Suggested Hero Lab Path Finder Society Prestige Logging Change

I have been a long time user of Hero Lab user for pathfinder. In addition, I started using Hero Lab to track pathfinder society characters about a year ago.

Hero Lab works great for pathfinder society characters except for one small issue. The logging for gained Fame, gained Prestige, and spent Prestige.
Currently Hero Lab has 2 entries gained prestige and spent prestige. The gained fame is directly calculated off of the gained prestige.

Having only these two entries worked great until recently. Recently PFS has released more boons, such as Fangwood Keep, where the gained Prestige does not count toward gained Fame.

My suggestion is to break the PFS log into three values gained Fame, gained Prestige, and spent Prestige. If this change was made then all the boons that allow gained Fame to be different than gained Prestige could be accurately tracked in Hero Lab. The gained Prestige field could even default to the gained Fame field.

If the change is made the default for the new gained Fame field on all logs should be the current gained Prestige filed. This would allow older character to be imported correctly.

To do this, set a negative amount of prestige spent - that will alter the amount of prestige you have left to spend without altering your fame.

Mathias thanks for the suggestion. However, if you put in a negative amount of prestige spent you cannot go back in the log and see how much actual prestige was gained and then spent on items.

We don't currently support proper tracking of how a character's prestige was spent - what each transaction was actually for.

Until then, if you want better records of how your prestige was spent, I'd recommend using extra journal entries. You could either create a single journal entry that tracks the total amount of prestige you've recovered through the fangwood keep boon, or if you wanted, create a new journal entry for each time, so that you can record the date of each individual transaction.

If I have a character with 10 Fame/Prestige and want to buy a wand, I simply spend 2 prestige and add the wand. No biggie. If I get a boon that refunds me two previously spent prestige, I make an entry for the boon and spend -2 prestige. My Fame is correct, my remaining Prestige is correct, and I have separate entries detailing the transactions.

No muss, no fuss. What I'd like to see is a checkbox for 3xp for modules (1.5xp for slow track) so I don't have so much clutter in my regular journal entries.

Mathias and Lemur thanks for the excellent suggestions. The separate boon entry would increase my log entries but then I could go back and track all the Boons.

I completely agree with the 3 XP selection and would also like to suggest a 1.5 XP for slow play. If screen space is a problem the check box could be changed to a drop down box that has .5, 1, 1.5, and 3 as selection options.
