Perhaps someone can verify this.
I made an elf with 6 levels of Ranger, 1 level of Wizard, and the Weapon Focus (longbow), Point Blank Shot, and Precise shot feats and the software was saying that the char didn't meet the requirements for being an Arcane Archer (but it should have). |

As a follow up, I also don't see how to make a mighty bow to go with my mighty +1 Strength bonus.

a regular long bow can't be given the ability to add your strength bonus, but if you go down to composite longbow it has an option on strength bonus

When you click on the Composite Longbow in the "Choose Weapons" form, a new "Max Strength Bonus" control appears just under the "Number to Add". You can click it up to increase the maximum strength bonus of the bow. (I guess Rob was right when he said "We can't put it there, nobody will notice it..."
