Why is Acolyte the only available background to choose?

Because that is all they can legally release. See the stickied thread for the community pack.

Polecat - I was encountering the same issue, and realized that I needed to check the boxes under '5e Core Pack' on the right of the initial window that comes up after loading.

Could you upload a screenshot? I am having a hard time finding it?

For warlocks, Eldrich Blast is missing as a weapon.
Th isi not very important on the PC - but it's very important on the iPad version.
It should be shon as a wepon (at least in the Play tab), so that you can click on the dice next to the weapon to make a roll.
Please add this !

If we did it for Elritch Blast, we need to do it for all the spells that require a attack roll. Elritch Blast is a spell. All you need is to know the warlocks spell attack bonus.

What might be possible is a general melee spell attack roll and range spell attack roll helper.

If you select NOBLE as background, the FEATURE option appears, but it will not allow me to make a selection. It gives a message, "Nothing to choose from!". Is this a known issue? What is the fix? Please advise.

I believe it will be repaired when 5e Community Pack 1.4 goes live
