The easy way: Complain to whoever it is that writes the Warmaster files, and ask them to change the unit sizes from '1:1' to '1'. -- 'Not Colin' McAlister - License to Skrill Email: demandred@skrill.org | Visit http://www.skrill.org/ today! -----------------------------+------------------------------------ "Dovie'andi se tovya sagain" - Robert Jordan's Wheel Of Time __________________________________________________ ______________________ __________________________________________________ ______________________ Message: 2 Date: Wed, 2 Aug 2000 19:41:42 +0100 From: 'Not Colin' McAlister & The Skrills <demandred@skrill.org> Subject: Re: V,2.0 One fine day in the middle of the night, Dean <Dragon2012@excite.com> got up to write: >Hello, > >I was wondering if you could pre order the V 2.0, Fraid not, sorry. It can't be much longer. The software itself is finished, and I believe the boxes are done. I think the holdup at this point is the registration mechanism. I too am more than willing to give Rob all the time he needs to get things right. The only facet of this that does have me frustrated is that many if not all updates to the army files themselves seem to be on hold until version 2.0. Not that I can blame the authors, of course. I wish there was some happy medium, but I'd rather wait and have it right than not and get a bad product. This was considered by myself and by John Connell (whom I often consult with if I need an opinion) and we decided that it isn't a good idea for Warmaster. The reason for this is that in Warmaster units have a fixed size and it only varies once the game has begun (i.e. some stands from the unit die). Further, it would greatly complicate adding magic items to units. Generally, most units only require two lines on the print out so even a large army can usually be printed on a front and back page. ===== Ba'alzemon Warmaster FAQ Team balzemon@yahoo.com http://members.xoom.com/Balzemon __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? The beta test team has been using the final version of AB2 for the past month or so, portent.net has even reviewed it. The problem is with the registration servers - they have to be correct, stable, unhackable , secure, able to cope with heavy load, etc... -- 'Not Colin' McAlister - License to Skrill Email: demandred@skrill.org | Visit http://www.skrill.org/ today! -----------------------------+------------------------------------ "Dovie'andi se tovya sagain" - Robert Jordan's Wheel Of Time __________________________________________________ ______________________ __________________________________________________ ______________________ Message: 10 Date: Wed, 2 Aug 2000 21:23:50 +0100 From: 'Not Colin' McAlister & The Skrills <demandred@skrill.org> Subject: Re: V,2.0 One fine day in the middle of the night, Matthius <Mathius@ticnet.com> got up to write: >I have a question about upgrading 1.4d..
