I'm a new user, purchased a 3month subscription, but in character creation, I keep seeing messages that I need to upgrade to full license for access to things. I thought that's what I did, am I missing something? I have a support ticket, but I'd really rather not wait 3 days if someone has an easy solution.

Did you buy a system package such as 'Pathfinder' with that, or just a subscription for server time/access? ...and checking that you are trying to use HLO? (You don't need the subscription for Classic)

Yes I purchased Pathfinder and many books under the Standard HLO plan. It won't let you purchase a subscription without purchasing a game too.
