Anyone know if any 2nd-Edition Warhammer 40k data files exist for the current version of Army Builder?
A bunch of us at my Local Game Store have started to feel nostalgic and want to play a few games of 2nd Edition without spending 3-4 hours hand-writing our army lists. I know that's how it was done back then, but we love the program and it's contributors. Plus, the option footnotes really help with speed of play. Thanks! For the current version of AB3.x, nope. The earliest that AB3.x goes is 4th edition (with it's numerous 3E codices sprinkled in) at least that I'm aware of - and I'm not quite sure if we have them all archived that far back.
It would be an interesting idea for someone who aspires to coding for the current AB40k project to show off their "mad programmin' skillz" by doing something like this for the community (hint, hint anyone). The only 2E codieces that I currently own are the Sisters of Battle, Eldar and Assassins. And I don't even have access to the rulebooks from the 2nd edition box anymore, so I wouldn't be too much help with this project. |
