There is a icon for customizing a race if you are a monster, but is there a way to do the same for your PC race?

You can build a new race for your PC, as per the relevant rules, so you can choose all the abilities of your "base" race and work from there.

Yes. Press CTRL-K and change your PC to a NPC. Then use the customize option to make your changes. Once your happy with all the changes click CTRL-K and change NPC to PC.
