I have a house rule that Paladin's alignments can match that of their god. I'm assuming that it wouldn't be all that tough to modify a paladin to make that work, but I'm more curious about updates. Would any update likely break the change? If so, would it make more sense to copy the Paladin class for the specifics that I need? I know it's not a big deal, but I've trained my brain to not like seeing the big red diamond in the corner.

I'd suggest making this a new archetype, rather than modifying the Paladin class itself - that avoids any question of having to keep up with any changes I make to the Paladin class.

Awesome. Second question would then be, does anyone know of an archetype that overrides alignment restrictions that I can poach from?

Got it, thank you. :s I'm ashamed. I should have looked first as it was really easy. I'm sorry. Sacred Servant has it too (and already for Paladins no less).
