Aren't the special forces (Cryx - Thralls of the Blackship, Protectorate - Umber Guard, etc.) allowed to take mercenaries? They're restricted in their selections from their own lists, but I'd think they'd still get their faction's normal mercs.

Uh, don't know. I went by the letter and only allowed the units that were listed on the cards.
If that's definitely not right, please let me know and I can open up the Mercs.

Thanks!

I got an official answer on the PP forums - No, they don't get mercs. Drat.

Hey. Don't knock the not getting mercs. I played a 500 steamroller and one of my lists was a 701st Iron Rain and it won the 2 games it played.

Phew, I was hoping they weren't allowed. The lists they came up with did look fairly balanced and in need of no help from the Mercs.

Thanks!
