I'm curious about the community's opinion on how to handle the spells in Tasha's. Here's the options:
  • Current Way - Following what seems to be the way it's laid out in the book, the new spells (like Mind Sliver, Mind Whip, Summon Fey, etc.) are made available by enabling Class Feature Variants and choosing your class's Expanded Spell List.
  • Xanathar's Way - This would work the same way extra spells from XGTE and SCAG do; when you select the book as a source in your Configure Hero screen, the spells are automatically added to the appropriate classes' spell lists.

The Xanathar's Way is technically not quite how the Tasha's spells are presented as working in the book. But I think it's arguable that Hero Lab users may expect these spells to work that way, the same as the other books' spells.

I want opinions on this, and will likely add the Xanathar's Way functionality to the pack if it seems like a lot of people want it. They'd still also work in the Current Way, as there are additional, non-Tasha's spells that still are added using the Expanded Spell List features.
