I guess a few things would greatly improve the readability of the storyboard.

1) More control of how plot points are located. Being able to drag and drop would be ideal.

2) Bidirectional arrows. A lot of times in a plot one plot point may not lead to another but may lead back to the original. Showing this in the storyboard is very messy.

3) Color. This is a GUI. I expect to be able to use color to convey meaning.
