First I would just like to say how amazing your software is. For a while I have been running it on a windows 7 Acer tab W501 and have found it to be extremely useful. Recently I have upgraded the OS on this tablet to windows 8 developer prevue and while I now do have to run Army Builder in windows 7 compatibility mode I am very happy to see it still works.

I know by now you are likely sick of getting questions about tablets (iPad, android etc) releases but I have some questions related to your software and windows 8 and tablets.

Is there any way for me to change the existing UI to make it more touch friendly (Bigger buttons, themes etc?)
Are there any plans to release on the Windows 8 store when it becomes available and is the revenue split with Microsoft going to be a point of concern?
Do you feel that the linking of software to a windows live ID will result in a change to your licensing model?

I realise that these questions are not that important and are about an OS that even windows is not supporting and has not even got a release date for.

PLEASE NOTE - these answers are SUBJECT TO CHANGE as more information comes out. My best guesses are below...

Not currently. This is something we're hoping to look at in the future, though.

That choice will have to wait until we see how successful Windows tablets are We're a small company, so we unfortunately don't have time to follow every opportunity that presents itself. We'll be keeping a close eye on it, though.

Too early to have an answer for this yet, for the same reason listed above

Hope this helps!

Any news on this? I know windows tablets aren't exactly flying off the shelves, but between the tablets themselves and laptops/desktops running W8+, there are still a ton of devices with access to the windows store. Moving in that direction could make distribution a lot easier, do wonders for anti-piracy, and open HL up to more devices.

We don't have any additional news on the items above at this time. That's not to say things may change in the future, we just don't have anything planned right now. If that ever changes, we'll announce it on our website and in our monthly newsletter.
