Adding new monsters to Encounter Builder

Aril

Well-known member
How do I create a monster that can be added from the Encounter Builder?

When I try adding a creature with the Monster Builder it doesn't seem to make them appear in the Encounter Builder.

You need to create/save a creature in a portfolio - either as a .por file or .stock file and put that file in the PF game system folder. When you restart, the creature will be available to the Encounter Builder.

Do you mean in Users/Name/Documents/Hero Lab/Portfolios/Pathfinder ?

That folder? I tried putting it in there, and restarted Hero Lab but monster still doesn't appear in the Encounter Builder.

Sorry, no. That's not the game system folder.

You want something like C:/ProgramData/HeroLab/data/pathfinder

If you aren't sure, open HeroLab, click on "Tools", then "Explore Folders" then "Game System Data Folder". This will open the folder you need to place your file in.
