Hello. I reformatted my computer as it was long overdue and reinstalled Realm Works. I don't have server access so I opted to restore my information from back ups that were stored on One Drive. When I restore from back up, the application crashes and then when I load Realm Works I get Opening Fire-Bird Connection Failed error message. I have two back up files and I really need to get the information off of them. It contains the world building information for a novel I have been working on for some time, the outline for the story, all of the characters, maps, plot points, and essentially the entire story in summary form. I have been trying to get it to work since yesterday, including installing the beta update and nothing seems to work. Is there a way for me to extract the information from the back ups or to get the content to start working again in Realm Works?

Well, it seem like Realm Works can't establish a connection to the firebird database. Unfortunately I have no idea how to fix this. Maybe some of the more savy user do, but until then you could always contact support:

I need some more info. You say you reformatted. Did you actually do a full reformat of your boot drive or just reinstall windows?

did you try to login and create a new realm first? Just to see if that works.

Well, initially it was doing it after I tried to restore from back-up. Now I have deleted the master file as well as the back up files in the one drive, and I have tried all 253-255, and they all give me the firebird message, even after deleting every realm work file off my computer and reinstalling. I did a full reformat. I think the back up file must be corrupted but I have no idea why the error persists after doing a full reinstall.

Can you not open RW at all? If you can can you create a new realm?
