The Advanced Class Guide Playtest is now available in Hero Lab!

A new update of the Pathfinder files for Hero Lab is now available from the automatic updates mechanism within Hero Lab.

The Advanced Class Guide Playtest is free to everyone with the Pathfinder system for Hero Lab, but only until Paizo publishes the Advanced Class Guide book (which is scheduled for a Gen Con 2014 release). Once that book becomes available, we'll be adding an Advanced Class Guide package to Hero Lab, and all of the playtest content will be moved into that package. If you purchase the package once it becomes available, any characters you created using the playtest material will continue to work (with the caveat that there may be changes between the playtest version of a class and the final version that may require some fixes). Those who do not purchase the ACG package once it becomes available will not be able to use any of the playtest content after that.

Journey to the Far East with the Heroes of the Jade Oath package, produced by Rite Publishing. With new skills like Fung Shui, as well as new feats and optional rules, your players will enjoy exploring this rich culture's history within this new Pathfinder setting. Enjoy new classes, archetypes, spells and more! This package is now available for $14.99.

The Free City of Zobeck package, produced by Kobold Press, lets you journey to the famous Crossroads City, compiled at last for everyone who loves noir adventure, clockwork characters, dwarves, and kobolds. A wealth of new feats, PC races, spells, equipment and archetypes are available for everyone who loves gritty and urban characters! This package includes content from Alleys of Zobeck, Streets of Zobeck, the Zobeck Gazetteer, and the Player's Guide to the Crossroads. This package is now available for $14.99.

This update also includes several bug fixes.

Here's the full change list for this update, copied from the FAQ that's available in Hero Lab's Help menu:

Special Thanks
  • Thanks to Tim Shadow (ShadowChemosh) for adding the Brawler class from the ACG playtest.
New Releases!
  • Content from the Advanced Class Guide playtest is now available.
  • Journey to the Far East with Rite Publishing's "Heroes of the Jade Oath", available for $14.99. With new skills like Fung Shui, as well as new feats and optional rules, your players will enjoy exploring this rich culture's history within this new Pathfinder setting. Enjoy new classes, archetypes, spells and more!
  • From Kobold Press, The Free City of Zobeck is now available! Journey to the famous Crossroads City, compiled at last for everyone who loves noir adventure, clockwork characters, dwarves, and kobolds. A wealth of new feats, PC races, spells, equipment and archetypes are available for everyone who loves gritty and urban characters! This package includes content from Alleys of Zobeck, Streets of Zobeck, the Zobeck Gazetteer, and the Player's Guide to the Crossroads, and is available for $9.99.
Enhancements & Changes
  • Spell like abilities shown on the Spellcasting tab will now be sorted by the frequency of their use, just as they are in statblocks (Constant ones first, then in decreasing frequency of use).
  • The calculation of skill bonuses is now shown when hovering the mouse over the total.
  • Many spells which make reference to other spells now display the text of those spells, so that the information they need is ready at hand.
  • Summon Monster and Summon Nature's Ally spells have had the tables for their level and 2 levels below them added to the description.
iPad Changes & Bug Fixes
  • Equipping a Shield Bash weapon no longer de-equips the associated shield.
Bug Fixes
  • The Watchtower terrain improvement was not applying its stability bonus.
  • The Foundry building was adding +1 Loyalty instead of +1 Stability.
  • The Death Candle Antipaladin spell was incorrectly 2nd level.
  • The Softpaw boots, doomharp, amazing tools of manufacture, masterwork tools, masterwork instruments, thieves tools, healer's kit, disguise kit, alchemist lab, portable alchemist lab, were applying circumstance modifiers which were not stacking correctly with other circumstance modifiers.
  • The Classic Duelist feat and the Cloak of Darkness revelation were also applying Circumstance modifiers in an incorrect way.
  • The Master of the Ledger feat was missing a situational modifier.
  • The Lion Blade's Master of Disguise and Silent Soul class abilities were also applying skill bonuses incorrectly.
  • Negative levels were not applying penalties to all skills.
  • The Fumble Tongue spell adjustment was applying stealth bonuses and sonic spell DC penalties when it should not have been.
  • The Fighter's Bravery ability was applying a situational to Will saves multiple times, even before high enough level to gain the bonus.
  • Major Healing Hex had incorrectly been displaying the Arcane Eye spell's description.
  • Oracle's were always granting animal companions with INT 6, rather than having that depend on what ability grants the minion. Bonded mount now grants a companion with Int 6, while Primal companion grants a normal int Animal Companion.
  • Alignments were throwing errors when added to an intelligent weapon.
  • Titan Strike mythic feat was not increasing unarmed strike damage when combined with monk levels.
  • Several abilities, such as Smite Evil, Delicious Fright, Freebooters Bane, Knight's Challenge, and so on, were not adding to the attack bonus when activated.
  • The Lunar Mystery was not granting bonus spells known at 6th, 8th, and subsequent levels.
  • The Battle Dance: Inspire Courage class ability was not adding a situational bonus to saves.
  • The Charging, Fighting Defensively, and Squeezing conditions were not applying thier effects on attack rolls.
  • The Cavalier's Challenge bonus was adding to both ranged and melee damage, instead of only melee damage.
  • The Gravity Bow spell adjustment was not increasing the damage dice of ranged weapons.
  • The Frog Domain had Delay Poison as an extra 1st level domain spell, rather than at 2nd level.
  • The Antipaladin's Smite Good ability was incorrectly stacking it's deflection bonus with other deflection bonuses when activated.
  • The Maestro of the Society trait was not adding to the Sensei Monk archetype's Advice class ability.
  • The Kingdom System's Exotic Artisan and Military Academy had incorrect modifiers to the kingdom stats.
  • The Obsession Ring was not applying a Luck bonus to attacks.
  • The Werecrocodile-Kin skinwalker heritage was assigned the incorrect source.
  • The Skinwalkers had no starting languages allowed.
  • The Flurry of Blows was gaining double the bonus from typed attack bonuses.
  • The first time a saved portfolio was loaded, the ability score generation method could be reset.
  • Added metamagic adjustment for Duplicate Spell feat from the Midgard Campaign Setting.
  • Fixed Midgard Campaign Setting deity entries which referenced obsolete domains.
  • Fixed the Family (Beer) and Loss (Beer) sub-domains from the Midgard Campaign Setting.
Data File Authoring
  • Skills have had several new fields added to them, to store values used in the calculation breakdown. Two of the new fields (skToolMod and skACPen) support history tracking.
  • Classes can now mark their Bonus Feat and Secondary Bonus Feat tables as optional.
  • A new spellcaster type "Spontaneous (Spellbook)" was added for the Arcanist.
  • Classes can now rename their Bonus Feats and Secondary Bonus Feats tables. Archetypes can also modify these names on the class they modify.
  • Classes have a new table which they can add spells to in order to expand the spell list. To see an example of its use, see the "Arcane Enlightenment" ability of the Shaman's Lore Spirit.

There seems to be some sort of bug going on with Cure Light Wounds and scroll creation. Ever since the update, creating a scroll with Cure Light Wounds crashes the program. I've uninstalled and deleted all files and reinstalled only to have it still occur so it definitely seems like a bug.

I have no problem making the scroll, you're going to want to report this using the bug reporting software in the stickied post in the Pathfinder forums. Bug reports in threads just get lost.

Now it's doing it with wands when I try to make a custom one with the Mount spell.

Again you need to report bugs in the bug reporting software. You can find it here Bug Reporting

Oh, my apologies, I didn't realise it was my responsibility to do Lone Wolf's jobs for them. Won't happen again.

Huh?

Sorry, really kind of baffled here. You have failed to follow the bug reporting process. You have not told LWD about this bug, just by posting it in this thread - they do not trawl through every thread on these forums looking for bugs, because there is a robust procedure in place, where all bugs reported using the bug report method are tracked and checked and responded to appropriately.

There is a sticky thread about how to report bugs. Using it is not somehow "doing Lone Wolf Development's job for them". It is the correct way to get them to FIX bugs.

If you find a bug, report it. So far (based on the evidence in this thread) you have not.

Please do so, and it will be fixed.
