Lead Blades stacking bug

FlySaab

New member
I have a weapon with Impact on it, when I cast Lead Blades and add the adjustment in Hero Lab, it gets the bonuses as well. According to the Paizo FAQ, since Lead Blades is one of the spells required for Impact, it does not stack. So the Lead Blades adjustment needs to check the abilities of the weapons and ignore those with Impact.
This has already been submitted as a bug, I thought it would be good to mention it here.

Well the thing with FAQ answers is just that they are momentary solutions to the question people have and still aren't officially seen as rules.

Lets take the example of Prestige class requirements and spell-like abilities. Not too long ago they allowed spell-like abilities (such as the Aasimar daylight ability) to meet the requirement for prestige classes. Causing for this example Aasimar to take the Evangelist prestige class at level 4 after they got the deific obedience feat at level 3. (this wasn't implemented in Hero lab at the time)

This FAQ answer recently got altered again to not allowing those spell like abilities to count towards "can cast 3rd level spells" to meet such a requirement. (another example was arcane strike. This used to be allowed to be taken by someone with an arcane spell-like ability which is no longer the case)

The reporting that I did for those cases got a response that they are working on a solution for it. Looking back now I hope they never really worked too much or hard on those solutions.

This has lead to my own choice of not reporting things like FAQ postings anymore. They seem/are on the spot rulings. Generally I think it would be better to wait for official reprintings/errata's. (But that is just my opinion)

Note: most things mentioned in this post are examples. That I encountered when building characters of my own.

We'd really appreciate it if everyone could report bugs using our bug tracking system: http://forums.wolflair.com/showthread.php?t=24976, which is accessible through the sticked thread named "General Hero Lab Support & Community Resources"

I know the lead blades/impact issue has already been reported, but I don't think there's been a chance to fix it yet.
