Selecting last file from Open Recent menu yields 'file locked' when trying to save.

Sorry if this isn't the correct forum to post this in...

Config info:

Hero Lab 8.9, updated last December, IIRC

Mac OS 11.7.1

Pathfinder 1e

The change for sandboxing (I think) made it so I had to move my character data files. No biggie. Moved the character file to a new directory. Opened the file and did some edits then saved.

The next time I used Hero Lab, I went to the Open Recent menu, selected the character I last used, made some edits, and then attempted to save. But couldn't because I received the following error message:

The specified file cannot be saved, as it already exists and is marked read-only.

However, if file is opened with File menu -> Open Portfolio, select character file, edits can be saved.

Any ideas why the Open Recent path, gives an error?
