I am trying to code a version of the Fiendish Vessel cleric archetype (for Tieflings, from the Advanced Race Guide). This archetype grants the cleric a familiar at level 3, either an imp, a quasit or a cacodaemon depending on alignment.

The version I am trying to code is called Vessel of the Old Ones and grants a cythnigot qlippoth as a familiar instead. However, the possibility of being a familiar is coded within the creature, as well as the classes that can have access to it. I don't know if there is any other way this can be done aside from creating an alternate qlippoth with the relevant tags, and replacing the "official" one.

Can someone tell me if and how I can avoid this, or point me to a relevant thread that helps me ?

This appears to be the answer you have to do "Replace Thing ID" on the Qlippoth, Cythnigot so you can add the CompList.? tag for your new archetype. I don't see anyway around this currently.

A nice future addition would be instead of a "List" a new tag we could assign that would allow individual familiars to be valid for a class. It would make things allot more adjustable for future classes and modifications.
