Custom special character

I am looking for a little help with creating a custom special character. Basically I want to take the Col. Schaeffer special character, and change the war gear. Additionally I would like to add/modify a couple of the Schaeffer's Last Chancer special rules as well.

Essentially, I am trying to create an army list based on the Last Chancers who's fluff is more of a Mercenary PDF unit.

Any advise/assistance?

You would have to tweak the IG files but when ever you do an update then these would be lost - however, looking to the future have a look at the post above
