Nanocyte Gear Array

There's nothing in the Nanocyte Gear array rules in Tech Revolution that states that you can't create analog melee weapons, but the only melee options in HLO are powered. Considering how they worded minor gear and explicitly excluded Armor, it seems unlikely that this was Paizo's intent. I've posted to the Paizo forums as well, but as of yet, I only have other forum members agreeing with me.

Can you please ask Paizo for clarification because it just doesn't make sense that you can create a laser pistol, but can't create a knife.
