Metamagic Feats for spells

I was trying to prepare spells with the feat extended spell but I cant seem to find how

When choosing spells, select the custom/metamagic spell option that should be the first thing in every memorized spellcaster's list of spells to memorize. From there, you can select a spell and select the metamagic feat(s) to apply to it.

If you're a spontaneous caster (Bard/Sorcerer), you don't need to prepare spells ahead of time with metamagic, so that option won't be available.
