Hey all,

I am having a discussion with my DM about two conflicting descriptions of the Alchemist discovery "Precise bombs"

On PFSRD (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/bas...precise-bombs/)

The description says "If the bomb misses, this discovery has no effect."

However on hero lab. this is not there, leading me to believe that if the bomb misses Precise bombs is still in play and can be used to protect party members and allies from undo damage.

Can someone please confirm which is the accurate description and any source that backs that up?

Thanks!

Paizo's online Pathfinder Reference Document has the same description as the PFSRD (scroll down to find it), as does the Archives of Nethys (again, scroll down), and the question has come up on the Paizo Messageboards.

It's probably just an incomplete description in Hero Lab. You should report it as a bug.

Well dang. I partially built my character around that bug... this is depressing...

Thank you for the response and for providing some links. I appreciate it
