I'm trying to create a race that has an ability that only becomes available at character level 5.

There are very few examples like this. Probably the only one I can think of is the Fetchling, who get Shadow Walk at level 9, I believe.

However, when I duplicated that race, to see how it's coded, I can see the ability, but there are no conditions or ANYTHING that I can find that control that...yet it functions correctly.

I also tried a script that looked at total character level and set THAT as a condition, with a level requirement of 5, but that keeps throwing errors.

Any suggestions?

Looking at the Shadow Walk ability itself... Eval Script has:
doneif (#totallevelcount[] + field[abValue].value >= 9)
perform assign[Helper.SpcDisable]

Current RPG's: Pathfinder (GM), Pathfinder (Player), Gamma World (GM, Pathfinder homebrew).
HeroLab: 3.5 & Pathfinder. HL User Files for PF: Greyhawk Setting, Gamma World (WIP).

DM and player of D&D since 1980.

OMG.

I can't believe I missed that. I kept looking in the race entry, instead of the ability entry.

Thanks for pointing out the completely obvious solution I missed!
