human extra feat missing

In the 1.1 demo, if I create a human anything, I don't get the bonus human feat.

Alright, color me confused. I restarted the program, and now its working.

What were you doing? Was there anything special? While I can't think of any reason to explain the free feat not appearing, it's possible there's a subtle bug lurking somewhere. Any clues you can provide about what you were doing would be much appreciated....

I'm not sure what I did differently between sessions. I chose alignment, race and then class, and then looked at feats.
