I'm looking for a way to disable (through an option in the Configure panel) access to feat categories for a character. For example, ticking a box to preclude all Story feats, or all Metamagic feats, or all Teamwork feats.
I've looked at ShadowChemosh's campaign user files (available on his site, but not recommended with the Community files), but could not find a way to reliably do this (not any that I understood, anyway). Is there a script somewhere that would point me to the right way to do this? My search-fu did not yield anything on the forums either. |

Like are you trying to permanently remove them or just trying to filter them out so you don't see them?
Theoretically you could modify the main feat table script and add !fCategory.XXxX to it where XXXX is the id of the category you're getting rid of. |

There are complete feat categories that some of my characters don't use: for example, I never use the story feats; my barbarian has no interest in Metamagic feats, etc... But I don't want to automatically preclude them from the game system, just be able to toggle them on or off for a particular character. So it's more like filtering them out for a particular character.

I am pretty sure you can't change or affect that list. The portal is pretty much going to be setup to display everything from component.BaseFeat.
So unless LW adds some special logic like they did for the deities you get all feats. Why not just set up a user file to preclude the Story feats, for example, and then you can activate and deactivate through the sources console? Downside would be you have to identify the feats in question and add them individually, but they are fairly limited in number anyway.
