I thought I posted this before.
Trying to think of a work around for other custom equipment that affects traits. Say for example, light high-tech armor that grants +3 Toughness (against all attacks) but is not Chainmail. I'd like it to add in bonuses, check for PL etc.. Any ideas? |

You can build things like that in the Editor. Go to the Armor tab and either copy an extant item or build it from scratch. Adding additional bonuses can be done in the Eval Scripts section (look at other equipment to see how stats are added). PL is automatically handled as with other stat bonuses. Additional checks can be made in the pre-reqs I think. Take a look at how things like Deflect work to ensure PL.

When you save it as a .User file, they can put it in their own directory and it will immediately come into play, so to speak. If you want them to have a choice as to whether to employ it, edit the Sources section (including adding a new one) so that it can be turned on and off.
