Adding monsters and NPCs and using the encounter builder

I can see that the SRD is pretty sparse and some data entry will be required but I'm having trouble figuring out how to add monsters to hero lab. Is that functionality that's not included yet or am I missing something? That data would be added via the editor but what are the standards used for monsters? Adding them as races? Creating new tabs? Apologies if this is answered elsewhere but no amount of searching the forums has gleaned an answer for me.

I think ultimately what I would like to do is add monsters and npcs to hero lab a little at a time as needed during gameplay, just don't know how.

Wait for the next update when they release the monsters. Then we will have the reference points we need to proceed.
