Using a laptop connected to a projector for our table game. I'd like to detach the player view and have it on the extended screen (showing on the table) while I work the GM view on my own screen.
I am unable to use "Duplicate Screen" mode because for some reason my stupid projector makes everything yellow when I do. I have to use "Extended Mode" to get correct colors. So I would need to detach the Player view, slide it over to the extended display. Is that possible? If not, any work-arounds? Suggestions? The goal is to be able to show Player View on the table. Technical mumbo jumbo: ASUS laptop (WIN 10, i7, Geoforce video, all video drivers up to date). Projector is an older projector with VGA, no HDMI. Setup: laptop -> HDMI -> adapter plug -> VGA cable -> projector. |

You don't want to use duplicate mode. Extend it which effectively makes the projector work as a second monitor. Player view can then be controlled to show on a specific monitor within Realm Works on the player screen window. There's a button in the top right that you can change from Monitor 1 to x. I have 3 for example.
Here's my setup. You can see Realm Works Player View running on the player facing screen. That's extended. The third output screen is the projector which is running MapTool. What are you using for a first surface mirror? I wanted to get one but couldn't find one for less than ...
let's just say I own every pathfinder hero lab add on and I still couldn't afford it. (apparently they are sold commercially for telescopes or something). I have a similar setup except I'm using a screen atm because I can't find a good mirror to use to hit the table. |

Ok you are going to hate me..
I walked into a second hand place and they had a full body length first surface mirror for $7. It cost me more for the glass cutter to get it to a size that would work. Honestly I don't think it was a proper first surface mirror. It was more like it was such a cheap mirror that they couldn't afford to put glass on it and didn't realize that they had made a super expensive resource in the process...
