Version 1.6 of the 5th Edition SRD files for Hero Lab is now available. This addsspells from the revised System Reference Document, support for Epic Boons, Factions and Renown, plus bug fixes and data file authoring updates. Here's the full changelog:

Enhancements &amp Changes
  • New spells from the revised System Reference Document have been added!
  • Support for Epic boons has been added. Any character of level 20 or above will show the Epic Boons tab, and it can also be shown by turning on a setting on the Configure Hero form.
  • Factions and Renown are now supported.

Bug Fixes
  • The Hide/Remove Language adjustment was causing an error.
  • The Archery combat style had an incorrect summary.
  • Remarkable Athlete wasn't applying its bonus correctly to initiative.
  • A custom monster with a challenge rating below 1 wasn't having this shown in the stat block.
  • Proficiency dice weren't working correctly for the iPad dice roller.
  • On-hit effects for natural attacks are now displayed in the pop-up info window.
  • An error was sometimes generated when generating XML output.
  • Two-weapon fighting wasn't working correctly for equipment sets.
  • The climbing ability had a typo.
  • No error was being reported when equipping an off-hand weapon with a shield.
  • An unarmed strike can now base its attack damage off an attribute other than strength.

Data File Authoring
  • Added the Special tag group, for Weapon Specials. The first tag in this group, Special.MartArts, is for weapons that benefit from a monk's martial arts ability that normally wouldn't.
  • Add the Helper.SplSave tag. This tag displays a spell's DC if it's different than the standard DC for its class.
  • The "Ability" tab in the editor can no longer be used to build abilities which appear on the Weapons tab as attacks - use the new "Attack" tab for that instead.
  • Classes can now have more than one hit die per level.
  • Added extra spell output functionality for configurables. The cfgSplSum field has been added to hold a summary of the spells added to the configurable, and the Helper.OutCfgSpl tag which needs to be assigned to the configurable in order for the spell summary text to be displayed on the printed sheet.

support for epic boons only seems to work if you multiclass and have 21+levels. . . not helpful to single class characters at all unless there is a work around to raise the level cap of the classes

Found the issue it was not playing well with my .user file have since corrected the issue..

Although i would still like to see support for actually leveling beyond 20 the srd only summarizes for the needed exp for advancing from level 1 to level 20. The SRD, Phb, and DMG do not say you have to stop at level 20 in a single class

Is there a reason I can't select the type of hit dice for a custom monster? It forces me to use d6 when I need d8.

Not that I can see. I just made the small beast a medium beast and make it clear in the name/description that it is actually just a very tough small beast. This is a non-official monster, so maybe they broke some rule....[get's copy of Monster Manual]. Yep, page 7.

Oh well, so make it a medium beast. That's the answer.

On the Backgrounds tab, but you'll have to create a faction in the editor first. Otherwise, the table isn't visible.

I updated to 1.6 5e Hero Lab and have 1.4 Community pack installed and still am not getting the additional damage on the secondary weapon.

**EDIT** I figured out my mistake, forgot to have a light weapon in secondary hand.
