Hi Guys,

i'm just getting into HLO and having some issues with creating customer Monsters etc.

I have a creature that is not in any ancestry - but for the life of me I cannot create anything above a level 3 monster.

I have the bestiary, I have a patron account, i have the CRB...

but no matter how I try I cannot make a creature 4 - it says creature min 1 max 3 ?

How do you create a bigger badder guy ?

Do you have the Gamemastery Guide? That's where the full monster creation system is. I'm using it for my games and it works pretty well.

Currently Running: Pathfinder Second Edition
Currently Playing:
Pathfinder First Edition, Star Trek Adventures
Former HL Games: D&D 4e & 5e, Mutants & Masterminds 2E & 3E, Savage Worlds

The GMG is the physical book that contains the custom monster rules, so it's also the data package you need for it in HLO.

Ok, so the GMG was the answer... now my next one..

I created a creature in a script, how can I add that to another scene script ? I looked in personal vault and there doesnt seem to be an option under the script itself, do I have to completely recreate it again ?

Sadly, I think that is the case. What I have started doing is creating my NPCs/Monsters in an NPC folder under Characters, and copying them from there into my Scene Scripts.

I don't think things you create in a scene can be copied out of a scene. If you're creating a custom NPC/creature that you'll need to use other places, I think the workflow is to create them as Cast Members. Those can then be linked to scene scripts as needed, and I believe they can also be copied outside the campaign.
