How to give coins to an NPC

For as long as I've been using Hero Lab, I'm surprised I've only now run into this issue. I have no idea how to give my NPC create in HL coins.

For a PC, you have starting wealth form and you also have a journal to add wealth.

For some reason, these are not enabled for NPCs.

Do I just create a "custom valuable" and call it GP, then sell it for the amount of GP I want the character to have. Same with other coins? It works, but it feels like a kludge and isn't convenient nor obvious.

I feel like I'm missing something here. Is there an easier way that I'm overlooking?
