When I'm working on creating a bunch of new things in a row, I use CTRL-Q to create a new topic.
The options that I have are to create a topic and then have to go to the topic tree to open it, or to open it in a new tab and then close my current tab and navigate to the new one. It's not a life-threatening priority by any means, but I'd like to be able to create a new topic in the existing tab. |

You can simply click on the little "+" buttons to the right of the groupings within the navigation pane. This also creates new topics, although you don't currently have the panel on the right for controlling tags/container/aliases/etc. That's something we'll be adding in the near future. When you use this approach, the topic is created within the current tab, as you've requested.

It's more work that way to add the container and etc than to close and change tabs, but if it's a step in the right direction and there are enhancements coming, that's great.
Thanks Rob. |
