HLO down at 8AM Central on Sunday 7/21

Still down at 9am CDT. Going to the log in page takes me to a page that says: "Hero Lab Online is experiencing unplanned downtime."

Interesting. On wolflair site, one of the features listed is "Constant Access". If one clicks on it, it goes to a 404 page.

Yes but that 180-day clock hasn't started ticking yet. It won't start until Campaign Theater releases. Right now we're all getting free server time since the product is still incomplete.

What may be confusing things is that RealmWorks, also on their cloud model, did start enforcing deadlines (due to release of the Content Workshop), not really recently, but with some early backers just now losing access unless they re-upped.

It was down for what...1 hour on a Sunday morning at 8AM? And you're already trying to get the pitchforks? You guys must be incredibly old to be so scared of change.

Just relax

2 hrs on a Sunday morning when I wanted (I won't say needed) to access my characters. This would also be prime time weekend for Europe. If I wake up at 2AM and can't sleep and decide to work on HLO, then it should be available since that's what I paid for and that's what is promised. No way am I scared of change and I've got the bloody fingers to prove it. But users should be concerned of a lengthy outage that impacted customers. And, it seems, LWD doesn't want to even post here to explain or defend. I want this to work, but it HAS TO WORK. Playing in the big leagues with 24/7 availability means 24/7 support and uptime.

Thanks for your continuing patience folks, we're on it and working as fast as we can.

And, as someone who works in the Cloud professionally, even the big services go down sometimes, and unfortunately, the visibility to users is "Lone Wolf HLO is down!" instead of "AWS is inaccessible to North America", so if that's the case, I sympathize with them.
