Sorry for not circling back on this earlier. You are correct. And the imminent release will make things significantly easier for doing what you want.

Hiding things you don't want has already been in for a long while. Being able to edit the names and whatnot previously required the dreaded "remove protection" operation. That requirement has gone away with this new version. I'm not sure which of these two behaviors was your concern previously, but it doesn't really matter now!
