I just want to verify what my understanding is in regards to the Authoring kit.
I'm working on a ruleset for Castles & Crusades. In order for another user to use my ruleset, at a minimum they need to buy Hero Lab and the Authoring Kit. (Unless they choose the Authoring kit as their ruleset of choice) Is this only if they want to export/print output? Last question, when I run the HL export, does this include every file that's in my ruleset directory, or only files that pertain to the ruleset (.dat, .user, etc) I ask because I've been creating a zip of my whole directory. Yes, in order to print/save/export a character created in a game system created with the authoring kit, the user needs to own the authoring kit game system in Hero Lab. Otherwise, they'll be working in demo mode.
HLExport will let you choose to add as many or as few files as you wish, so it's your choice what to include. |
