Not referring to the editor, but pathfinder and d20 HeroLab) have basic magic item creator abilities outside the editor?

Im not thinking flaming, etc, as I know thats not really for 5e, but + weapons do exist in 5e.

is there a reason that 5e doesnt have this?

It's new, you can always request LW implement the feature. If the code exists it probably wouldn't be that hard for them to do.

Just to inform how i found it.
Create a weapon, and scroll down to "Weapon +1" and choose that.
Then it will give you the option to choose what weapon you like. Sword for example

And I absolutely use the community pack.

The SRD is all but useless without it. And I dont blame LWD for that. I blame wizards for the joke that they call an SRD.

What would be nice would be the addition of weapon properties, such as racial (Dwarven weapon, Elven weapon, etc). The tables exist in the DMG.

I recently created a +1 Staff of Light for my campaign using the Magic Weapon tools. Found that I was able to make it 1d6+1 and versatile 2H (1d8+1), I added the Light spell to the staff when the player taps it twice on the ground 2x. And I it also became +3 vs Undead enemies. This last part had to be a text addition to the weapon, and the player has to calculate it. But it does the trick.
