Throwing shields and their weaponized stats don't seem to output onto any of the character sheet outputs, including the custom outputs. At least not on mine. They used to, I believe before the February update.

Just want to make sure this is actually something that is happening, and not just a bug in my own installation.

Please send in a bug report to report the issue.

Please do not PM me to inquire about datafiles I coded "for personal use" such as Exalted, World of Darkness, AD&D, or Warhammer 40K Roleplaying. I appreciate your interest, but I do not own the Intellectual Property rights to these game systems. Nor do I have permission from any of the Publishers to distribute the data files. As such, I cannot distribute the work I have done with community on these files. They are "for personal use" only. Thank you.

I am far too busy these days to answer emails. If you message me here there is no guarantee I will get back to you at all.

Did you see these entries on the change list for 8.8?
  • Shield Bashes will now only show in output if the hero has the improved shield bash feat or if the bash weapon has been enhanced for attack (such as being made magic or masterwork).
  • Added a new "Always Print Shield Bash Attacks" option in the "Output Options" section of the configure hero settings, which means that shield bash attacks are always shown in the statblock and printout, regardless of whether that shield has been improved or the character has improved shield bash.

Vaneheart was asking about the throwing shields as a thrown weapon not as a shield bash.

Some days I don't know why I bother to chew through the restraints.

Mathias,

The Throwing quality (when added to a shield) makes it into a ranged attack, not a shield bash.

Shield bash and throwing both make the shield into a weapon - the only difference is that the weapon is a melee weapon in one case and a ranged weapon in the other.

The change that was made was about when a shield's weapon stats are shown on the weapons tab.

That is what I assumed also Mathias so I tested it quick last night and no go. The Shield Bash gets displayed on the character sheet but not the throwing shield.

So I made a level 1 fighter all 10 ability scores and added both a Light Shield and a Light Throwing Shield. I turned on the option in "Configure Your Hero" to "always display Bash attacks". The Bash attack displayed but not the throwing shield.
