Hey,
So, I have noticed that the ability to actually increase the level of a power in a Qi focus is disabled. The arrows are there to increase or decrease after a power is added, but they are both greyed out. So you can only ever put the first level of something into a Qi-Focus.
Which means as it currently is set I cannot increase existing Adept Powers with a Qi Focus at all, unless I don't already know the power in the first place, and even then only at the first level.
So... yeah... kind of a pain.

I just tested this, and I'm not getting the same error. Here are the steps I took:

Gear tab, select Add New Gear
Select the Qi Focus, and click Customize
Adjust the Rating of the Qi Focus to 4
Click Add New Powers
Select Authoritative Tone (or something else with a variable level)
Increase level of Authoritative Tone to 2

Nope, still no go. It might be because the character I am testing it in is in play mode. Let me try it again with a blank slate.

Yup, that was it. If you have character out of character creation you cannot add Qi Focuses higher than level 1. But if I unlock the character it resets the karma. So that is a bit of a pain.

Good talk though, helped pin-pointing it.

Once a character is in play mode you have to click on customize before you click on Add or Add & Close.

If you do that you can quite happily adjust the ratings and add the powers.

Or, in other words, follows Namikaze's guide step-by-step.

Yeah, I've learned that it's better to customize first before adding. Almost always.
