well, the problem with doing this is in the Inventory screen which
displays Release instead of Model Number and/or Rank. I found the lines in the .def file to change Model Number and Rank to column groups and Release to Info groups, but I'm not aware of the next steps to get the program to realize I changed the .def file. Time for some more reading.... Doc --- In cardvault@y..., "doc_savage_2001" <doc_savage_2001@y...> wrote: > Also, I tried out the other thing I talked about in an earlier > message. Factiod: If you are having trouble getting CV to recognize changes you made, usually you just have to delete the *.cvz files. That will force a recompile which will usually fix the problem. In this instance, however, I do not know if the view settings can be changed by that trick. There is a way to force the default settings. First of all, select Settings/Enable Data File Debugging Then you can go under View/Data File Debugging/Use Default View to reset the views to the file defaults. ===== --- Kuni Tetsu Clan War rules guy Moderator of ClanWar-l __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Do NOT just delete all the *.cvz files!!! The inv.cvz file is your INVENTORY!!!
If you make a change to any of the *.def or *.dat files, CV should automatically recognize that the files need to be recompiled and do so. If it fails to do so, please let us know at support@wolflair.com so we can investigate. As a last resort, you can delete the core.cvz file to force recompilation, BUT THAT'S THE ONLY ONE! Don't worry. I would NEVER delete any file without making a backup
first. Everything was safe. Didn't work and I had to restore, but everything was OK. I realized afterwards that the inventory files had to stay.
