Hi there, I just recently acquired CV and I have a concern with
deckbuilding. I play L5R and I've noticed that I can't add followers
to my deck for some reason...there's no deck restriction that I'm
aware of, but neither double-clicking or right-clicking and choosing
the "add card" option will add it to the deck....same holds true for
some holdings I've tried to add as well (Stables and Jade Works, in
my case) Any help with this would be most helpful.

First of all: You did register your copy of CV, right? If not, there may be a
limit on the number of cards you can add to the demo. Have you tried adding the
followers to a blank deck? Does it work?

I have never had any problem with adding followers... what version of CV do you
have, what version of the L5R data files do you have, and what followers are
you trying to add?

Are you sure you're looking for the cards in the right deck? All followers
appear to go into the Fate deck, and are thus not shown until you change
the deck that's being displayed (by clicking the arrow to the top and right
of the deck list).

Yes, my version of CV Is registered, and I have it updated to the
1.1b patch. The database I have is updated to Heaven & Earth. This
problem goes with all followers in the database, I try double
clicking on any follower and it will not add to the deck...the same
holds true for some holdings as well, I've tried adding Jade Works
and Stables, but they, too, won't go in the deck, however others like
Hiruma Dojo and Silk Works will add to the deck when doubleclicked.
I've double checked the windows (dynasty and fate) to make sure that
they didn't appear in them. I have tried adding followers to a blank
deck, but that brought about the same problem. Hopefully you guys can
help me out here, I've never seen a program like this and it looks
great, but these problems are indeed hampering.

I am going to have to hand this one off to Rob & Co...

I have just confirmed that Stables and Jade Works go into the Fate deck without
a problem.

All of the followers I tried also worked. Since you did not specify what
particular followers you tried, it would be hit or miss to catch one with which
you are having trouble.

That is with L5R 4.0, and CV 1.1b

BTW: To find out the version of the data files you have loaded, go to
Help/About Loaded Files.

My first guess would be try re-installing CV from a fresh copy.

VERY bizarre. I have no idea what would have been causing this. No one else
has had this problem, and we certainly haven't encountered it here (or been
able to reproduce it after you reported it).

Truly puzzled.....
