On a related note, as I am trying to finish up Ragnarok data set...last thing being creatures...whoot.

I have a question about building creatures. I get creating or modifying Racial Abilities per setting. The question I have concerns Edges. For example, in Ragnarok the Wendigo has the Frenzy ability.

So what would be proper coding that? Is simply bootstrapping the existing Edge onto creature considered correct? Or should Edges/Hindrances be for 'Characters' and the affects of the Edge/Hindrance re-created for a creature?

Trying to get a feel from the community as to proper methodology.

Separately, is there a Setting Adjustment that will 'filter' out creatures from the main book so I just see the ones created for Ragnarok (or another setting)? When testing out my critters, I select creature in the dropdown as opposed to PC or NPC but within the editor I see my 'setting' creatures and the default ones. Just curious.

Cheers.

On the Edges, I just bootstrap them. If that's "proper" methodology or not, I have no clue. It works ok from what I've seen but I'm also not GMing any games or using Hero Lab for that purpose so there may well be something I'm missing there. I have not heard any complaints about it yet, though.

As for the second part, I've been wondering about that myself. Maybe we need some kind of "Exclude Standard Creatures" setting, too.
