So I use HLC on my laptop, but also just got a new ipad as a gift. Which would be the best option for me to run hero lab on it... the Apple Store HL app (can i link my classic license to it? Does the app utilize same price structure as HLO?) or HLO (linking my license to that but also having a monthly subscription?)
Any clarification would be great! -zerzix |

With Classic you can get a free secondary license - so you could activate the packages you already have on the ipad (the App uses HLC) without paying to buy the same stuff all over again. That way you can also swap back and forth between the two systems.
HLO does not use the Apple app, it's a separate browser based program that you would have to pay for, and need a subscription. I'd only go to HLO if you want to run PF2, etc - something that isn't available through HLC. Current RPG's: Pathfinder (GM), Pathfinder (Player), Gamma World (GM, Pathfinder homebrew). HeroLab: 3.5 & Pathfinder. HL User Files for PF: Greyhawk Setting, Gamma World (WIP). DM and player of D&D since 1980. Last edited by Dami; September 4th, 2021 at 05:47 PM. Reason: More detail |
