Resetting transaction log

Ist there way to delete or reset the transaction log?

I fiddled around with some items during character creation and now my log is full of unnecessary entries. Do I really have to recreate the character?

There is not. I don't think you need to rebuild over it. Just make a note of the transaction that was at the start of play, if that is important to you, and as you go along the rest should be pushed back.
 
Minous, please do not suggest directly editing the XML of a saved character on the forum, especially to a newer forum member (I only see three posts for Seelenquell so far). A mistake in that operation could easily destroy a saved character, so only experts should be trying that, and only if they have a backup.
