Has anyone tried this tool and abandoned it?
If so, what were your reasons for abandoning it? I'm looking to see what to add to this tool to make it helpful for more people. |

I'm not sure how you could improve it TBH, it's pretty good as is, my only problem is trying to find decent sources of CSV files to use |

I am looking forward to get some time to play around with this tool and the other tools that were introduced these last months.
I imagine I can use this tool to export my homemade equipment lists from spreadsheets and import it into RW, saving a lot of work. Still wondering if this would be the right approach or if I should just leave it in the spreadsheets as is (filtering and calculations are such helpful features). Vargr Deputy Calendar Champion Legend has it, that the Tarrasque is a huge fighting beast, perpetually hungry. Sleet entered History when he managed to get on the back of a Tarrasque only to be ridden out of History shortly after. Using Realm Works, Worldographer (Hexographer 2), LibreOffice, Daz3D Studio, pen & paper for the realm World of Temeon and the system LEFD - both homebrewed. |

So I just found this and haven't had much time to view all 8 pages of posts but have a question/suggestion, is there a way to use the structure to generate a blank csv file that can then be filled out and reloaded back into the program to create an upload file. This way people will have all the listings that is shows and will be able to add something that the writer might not know they need.

While looking for some CSV files to import with this, I found a couple of sites I don't remember being mentioned before, that might be interesting to others so I thought I would list them here for future reference:
http://www.dwarvenautomata.com/rando...her-generator/ (does a month at a time and is exportable to CSV)) http://1-dot-encounter-planner.appspot.com/ (lots of generators) |

@ray57913: That would be really useful. If had a blank format for creating the CSV files, it would be so much easier. Several categories are rigidly structured so this could work.
I've been working on importing 300+ gods into HeroLab. I identified the format and have created an Excel sheet that I enter the names, domains, descriptions, etc and then a second sheet that merges all of those fields with the necessary field information. I haven't carved out the time to do this for RealmWorks but it would be very cool if something like this was available for standardized categories like deities, NPCs, creatures, spells and feats. Copy/paste the info and let your favorite spreadsheet format it using concatenation. |
