Hello again guys,

I hope the moderator will validate all my previous posts, since none of them appears on the forum yet.

So, I downloaded the demo version of HL, to check what it was about, and if I could make use of it.

To be honest, I don't know yet. It might be usefull, but since my games are not supported, it would take ages for me alone to bring my game with the authoring system. But there is one point for sure I know is a no buy for me : it's all about the sizes of the characters.

I've noticed in the demo version character size is written down as 5'8". To be totally honest, I have no clue if it's big or not. I'm using the metric system, and even though I searched for the option to switch from imperial to metric, I didn't managed to spot it.

Any chance to be able to do that ?

Thanks

Vampyre

Unless the height and weight of a character would change how that character interacts with the rules set, the 5'8" or xxx Lbs. can just be ignored. Put the character's metric measurements into the Background text box or something.

By the way, 5'8" is 172.72 cm, just fyi.

Also, if you're authoring a rules system, I'm pretty sure you can just have that ruleset use metric measurements.

Good, nice to know ! Thanks for the information !

Yes, for the size, I had translated into the metric system, but my main issue is when I play with the members of my club (well, not MY club, but I'm in a club), I don't have internet, so it could be difficult to translate once there.

But thanks for the explanations

Vampyre,
There are programs that you can download that do conversions offline too. As well as some Android and iOS applications if you have a smart phone too? \

Here is one of the conversion programs I found that works with the Windows Calculator

Metric Conversion program (Click here)
